With the ‘medaille d'or’ in his pocket, obtained at the world exhibition in Paris in 1875, Heineken is officially a premium beer. And where better to export from than the port of Rotterdam? Exactly! The Rotterdam brewery was already brewing and shipping by steamship to Montevideo, Colombo, Calcutta, Aden, and Hong Kong from 1883. This drive for expansion is the breeding ground and source of inspiration for this meeting room. The sky is the limit!
