The history of our unique meeting location in Rotterdam

In 1874, Gerard Adriaan Heineken, the founder of Heineken NV, came to Rotterdam. At the time, Rotterdam was already the largest port city in the world, and for Gerard, it was clear: this was the perfect starting point to bring his beer to the world. What made this location even more attractive were the fresh water sources in the ground, an essential ingredient for brewing his beer.

Throughout the past 150 years, the brewery in Rotterdam has produced countless special stories. From the daily life of the people who worked there, to the influence of the Heineken family, and from the brewery's special role during the war years to the evolution of the company itself. This rich history comes to life in our unique meeting rooms, where every corner tells a story.

Our guides are happy to take the time to show our guests around and share this fascinating history. It is a unique experience that brings the brewery's past to life while providing an inspiring environment for any meeting. The tours with our guides can be booked separately.
